Due to the temporary absence of a colleague, we are looking for a module support officer for the Bachelor's programme in Business and IT with experience with (educational) systems. In the role of module support officer, you offer administrative and organizational support to teaching staff in particular. In addition to these activities, you will support the programme management (programme director and coordinators) of the Bachelor and Master as office manager.
The EEMCS faculty offers a total of five Bachelor's and seven Master's programmes, each with an international community of students and staff. Within the faculty, educational support for all programmes is provided by Educational Support (EDU). This support consists of coordinating study programmes, study guidance, module and course support, support for internationalisation and mobility of educational programmes and quality assurance. The module support staff and office managers work within the EDU department.
Your tasks
As a module support officer/office manager, you offer support to teachers, module coordinators and programme management. You will work closely together and coordinate with your immediate colleagues within the team, the educational management of the programme and the involved employees of the Educational Affairs Office of the Centre for Educational Support (CES).
Furthermore:
- You will guide the module coordinator during the preparations for the educational modules, including in: the expected participants, module board meetings and preparing the Canvas page for the start of the module.
- During the module, you will take care of the group divisions, act on changes, keep in touch with the teachers and students and keep track of master sheets with regard to the progress of the students.
- After completing the module, you will ensure an accurate overview of figures, schedule the evaluations and actively check whether all information has been properly processed in the systems. In addition, you evaluate the module and the support with the module coordinator.
- You are the right hand of the module coordinator on an administrative and organizational level.
- You ensure good communication and exchange of data with the CES service.
- You will draw up management reports on, among other things, the general progress (success rates) of the module/training, identify, follow and analyse developments in the training and provide advice on this.
- You identify bottlenecks in the (administrative) processes in the educational systems and make workflow adjustments.
- You support the program management, study advisors BIT as well as office management (agenda management, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, support with matching, etc.)
Your profile
- You are a recently graduated (UT) student or a student who has been temporarily de-enrolled. It is important that you are not currently enrolled as a student within the UT.
- You are familiar with administrative processes in education and you are familiar with the associated systems such as Osiris, Canvas, AFAS and Mobility Online.
- You are flexible and work both independently and in a team.
- You are customer-oriented, proactive and constantly looking for ways to work more efficiently.
- You have good communication skills and a demonstrable command of both the English and Dutch languages.
- You are stress-resistant, inventive and good at prioritizing.
- You have a good sense of proportion.
Our offer:
- An interesting position for 32 hours per week for 3 months, within a professional team in an international working environment.
- Depending on education and experience, your salary is at least € 3,057 gross per month (in accordance with scale 7 of the CAO-NU) and a maximum of € 4,484 gross per month (in accordance with scale 8 of the CAO-NU) for a full-time appointment, supplemented with excellent fringe benefits including an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and a holiday allowance of 8%. Depending on your experience, you will be classified in scale 7 or 8.
